I am so excited, my new kitchen is going to be so nice! It is double the size of my old one!! Cabinets were ordered today, 3 weeks they should be in...we had to do some minor changes since we went $6000 over budget on them (like not glaze them, that saves $3000 right there!) Yikes! Both us and the builder under-estimated the amount cabinets! Next week the plumbers, HVAC, electricians come and then spray insulation will be starting! Our new bath upstairs is going to be great! That is all framed and blue boarded out and the new big shower is all framed out! Here are some photos of the old kitchen looking into the new area and vice-versa! Then once this part is done we move onto the upstairs hallway bathroom remodel and then build closets and storage in Emma's room! But so far so good! My builders are great, John is a good friend of ours, so that makes it easier!!! Check back soon for more updates!

That's so exciting! Cabinets are mucho money, but well spent- how often do you buy new cabinets? I love the look of the new space. Can't wait to see the layout of the cabinets.
You will have SO SO many cabinets that some may even be empty!! Since this is so big, we have to be real careful with the granite.

Yes, WE do have to be careful with the granite. We can even do one color for all countertops, and another coordinating color for the bar/peninsula (which is gonna be huge too!) Then we have the desk area which will have one of the tops! Yikes!!! Maybe Monday we should take a ride up to Braintree and look around???? Kristin
