They are all done outside pretty much, except for the under addition spray insulation (hence the opening under the slider!) and the new patio. Last week the first half of the wall came down (where the french door to the deck was). And today, the rest of my wall came down (where my old counter top began, and the stove and fridge were) The kitchen is officially gone! Dave and I spent all w/e moving into the front living room where the fire place is, our temporary kitchen! It is very dusty and loud here today. I guess this week the plumbers and electricians come, we are ordering cabinets today, and I have to pick out granite this week. We are continually adding stuff to this project, but it will look great when done! The a/c guy is here now to help figure out my central air!!! Yippee!

I am imagining the house at Christmas....you'll need an extra tree!! Tell me when you want to look for granite.

I know the pain of a "temporary kitchen", and having dust everywhere! Hang in there- this is the worst part. Soon your new cabinets will be in, and then you'll be in the home stretch!
I have been looking for an extra electric burner - they were everywhere a few months ago...very handy even when you want to cook outside and don't want to heat up the kitchen..Cannot imagine being a refugee...you have things set up temporarily = can you ever think of this lasting forever! Pick out nice easy to live with colors that lift your spirits....it's not easy..do you remember my Red Period?..Red Early American couch- two chairs and a red braided rug...UGH! Must have been pre-menopausal. Just keep everyone healthy through all this...when you light the candles in your new space, you'll think..Well Done. Love and XXX MOM
