Moving Along!

We have the 10 foot double slider in, all leveled in the back, ready for the patio! New windows are in up in our bedroom, which will soon be the master bath! They had to take out the window that was there b/c of the roof line. I am also getting rid of the 2 octagon windows so that they match the new windows in our bath. Yes, there will be a big kitchen window on that area of the addition that looks like a wall. That will go in next week probably. I cant wait to have a window that looks into the back yard, so I can scream at the kids while I wash dishes! Ordering cabinets probably in the next week or so, which means I need to do the granite choice soon!!! I need help with that!!

WOW! This is going to look AMAZING when you get it all done. Perhaps I will have to plan a trip to Boston sometime next year. Glad you are getting a master bath...not sure how you did w/o one this long! Dave called me out of the blue last night and caught me up on "stuff". You guys are as busy as ever. Yesterday was Paige's 20th BD! Can you believe I'm really that old? LOL

Love you all, Cindy

Well....it's hard to believe your "dream kitchen" is underway! After all is said - and done - it is worth the hassle =and all the t.v. shows say the kitchen and baths are selling points. Hopefully it can be pretty well completed before the really cold weather arrives. You've got courage..just grin and bear it when it gets chaotic..and think how nice it will be when the last curtain is hung! LOVE XXOO Mom

So exciting! Picking out granite is going to be lots of fun. The cabinets too! Can't wait to see the new patio- what kind of stone are you doing?

Have not decided on the stone, maybe larger flagstone. I don't want tables or chairs to feel tippy, so I am going with larger stones.

Grainte I will have to pick out next week probably, very daunting for me, I only like all of them.

My cabinets are maple, honey colored, with a glaze overlay.
I think I am going with dark hardware.

Bought all the appliances, stainless. The only problem with that is no magnets...so I am going to paint a wall in the kitchen with magnetized paint!!

I did not know there was such a paint out there! Who ever thought of that one!? You will HAVE to have a place for the color coded calendar, so good thinking!

You should talk to my friend suzanne about the magnatized paint. they did it in their kitchen. The only thing I remember her saying is that when you paint over it (so the paint is the same as the rest of the kitchen) it can be tough because you need enough coats to cover and look like the rest of your paint but not too many coats of the magnet paint under the paint won't work. She could give you more info on that!

so far it looks like it will be a great new addition to your house!
